Credit Union now at Oakley Resource Centre Tuesday, January 12, 2010

The Oakley Resource Centre now has an outlet for the Credit Union.  Residents can pay into the scheme at the Centre, as well as at the Cornerstone Centre in Severn Road.  The facility is open between 9 am and 3 pm, Monday to Friday, and will hopefully discourage the use of loan sharks.  The aim of the scheme is to encourage people to save a little each week so that money will be available for special occasions, like birthdays.  There is also an affordable loan system in which members can borrow up to ten times their balance at a low interest rate.  The scheme costs £1 to join.  For more information call 01242 516960.
