NewsJob-seekers' workshops Monday, December 21, 2009The Neighbourhood Project now has a range of workshops geared towards helping people back into employment. The courses aim to give people who are unemployed the skills and confidence to apply for jobs. There is also help with job applications, covering letters and putting together CVs. The scheme is proving very popular, as people see the effects of the recession all around them and realise it is important to develop as many skills as possible to make themselves more employable. Anna Reeves, deputy manager at the Project, says that "By providing a friendly supportive environment in which people can come in and use our resources, we are really starting to see some positive results. We provide the tools for people to help themselves." Back to News index Comments Make a comment
